Prov 18:16
16    A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.    (NKJ)

  1. How can I know my God-given purpose in life?
  1. God may speak to you in prayer when you seek him.

Jer 29:11-13
11    For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12    Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13    And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.    (NKJ)

Isa 48:5-6
5    Even from the beginning I have declared it to you; before it came to pass I proclaimed it to you, lest you should say, 'My idol has done them, and my carved image and my molded image have commanded them.'

  1. What is God's ultimate purpose for mankind as revealed by the Scriptures?
  1. God created man in his own image so man could commune with him.

Gen 1:27-28
27    So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28    And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.     (KJV)

  1. Christ suffered spiritual death for and in place of all mankind in order to redeem man from his fallen condition of spiritual death and restore him to spiritual life and fellowship with the Father.  God has left the Church in the earth to be a light to the world and as the Church we are witnesses of the good news that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God.

46    Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
47    "and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 1:8
8    "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."  (NKJ)

1 Cor 15:19-23
19    If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. (miserable KJV)
20    But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
21    For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.
22    For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
23    But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming.   (NKJ)
